Hazard Based Testing:
In some of the cases, hood length is more and the equipment’s is kept under this area are very few. Instead of protecting the complete hood, only the equipment’s are protected. And also plenum and exhaust ducts are protected.
Overlapping Testing -
It is predesigned system in which containers capacity is designed based on hood length and number of ducts. In this system after actuation, extinguishing agent flow coverage overlaps each other and hence it covers complete area below the hood.
Resguardo - The answer to all kitchen fire safety
After actuation & discharge of wet chemical, if water is supplied through the same nozzles, it will aid the generated foam blanket to stay for a long time without burning. Water cools down the surrounding hot surface temperature. It also cools down hot oil by bringing its temperature below auto ignition point. This will reduce the risk of re-ignition.
Water supply can be provided in the following two ways. First- Water assisted system through water sprinkler line. Second – Water assisted wet chemical system through separate water storage system
